Kidney disease - amazing recovery

A real medical drama has been playing out in the last several weeks.  A young puppy has been struggling with kidney failure which surfaced after routine surgery.  Through aggressive daignostics and then treatment of drugs and acupuncture, the puppy's bloodwork has made a near miraculous recovery.  Dr. Chau says that this is the first case she has seen where it appears that a patient has actually recovered kidney function from a stage 3 out of 4 severity to now stage 1 or below (near normal).  Dr. Chau treated the case very agressively, and attributes the recovery to swift action and flexibility of the puppy's owners to allow different methods to be attempted to give the puppy a fighting chance.  More about kidney disease can be read on our website, under the members-only section (just requires providing us contact information only):
